We are cooperating with a professional laserscanning company GISPRO that made the scans and photogrammetry.
It wasn’t easy or cheap! You can see the special car on the VIDEO above.
IT IS PROBABLY THE MOST ACCURATE VIRTUAL SCENIC ROAD IN THE WORLD
Help us to build this track by supporting the works!
It will be usable for many many years and we will surely export it also for any next generation sims in the future.

Will this track ever finish?

Yes, as soon as we get the funds then it should be no more than 3 months to get it released. At the moment we got 5000 EUR out of 50 000. We will be running a proper crowdfunding plugin very soon to speed up the process. Thank You for the support!

ok. a bit disappointed for sending couple of emails and nobody probably even read them. Couple of suggestions for you….. make the road good. not that full of potholes. crowdfunding ? i paid for early early and it was 29 now is 19…cool i had to wait some months now its probably never…. go to a bank. sell it and them will come the profit. I am not the one who can tell you what to do. i want that track but i paid as much as the whole game full…and probably will never get to race on that track.

Emails might endup in spam folder, or be in a queue of many many many emails that we receive. We are still a small company and rely alot on public funding. We want to make the track as fast as possible, but we already invested our own money over 30 000 EUR in the 1cm laserscan of 35 km + initial works of processing data,some roads and models and alot of planning and testing different solutions to get the best accuracy and quality.
I am sure that once we get full financing then the track can be done even within 2-3 months, because we will hire more modellers and train them to work on different segments of the track at the same time. We have done 200km Bucharest (although exclusive for the government 🙁 )- it took us 4 months to do 200km of roads, over 6000 buildings based on the scan, and thousands of lanterns, trees, street signs etc. There was over 60 people working on it. The only thing to do lots of nice tracks is the funding.
So thank You for Your patience and supporting us. We will surely remember about You when we become bigger, and all who supported SIM TRAXX when it was small will get something really nice when the time comes hopefully soon.

Will be updating on it asap. Still gathering funds. We should scan the full 90km around June 2023 and then after that the works will hit full speed and hopefully finish all this year.Thanks for supporting!

Do we have any closer release date then just 2023?

That depends alot on how fast we can gather up the funding. We try to arrange sponsors for on-track banners, so we can get it faster and so people don’t have to gather so much.
Ater we receive full funds then the track will be finished in 2-3 months as we will hire more modellers and train them to do the segments of the track in the same quality and accuracy.
We will unfreeze the works once we gather 5000 EUR and will release a new much more complete update for the first 35km.

i dont know if ive done something wrong, but this version looks awful compared with the free version i had for a year v 0.8, very dissapointed for now, let me know if there is a better version since this one looks completly unfinished. thank you

Hi, we are currently crowdfunding to finish it with one big go. We can make even 90km tracks within just few months by hiring and training more modellers.
Its only about budget and people’s support and it will be finished with great accuracy and quality. Thanks for supporting! There is a v1.2 of the classic nonlaserscanned version in our store as well.

Also, perhaps instead of youtubing please visit our discord where there is a channel fully commited to Transfagarasan. We discuss the situation there and how to speed up the funding and construction process.
We already paid almost 50 000 EUR from SIM TRAXX pocket and private loans by SIM TRAXX Konrad – for acquiring laserscans and initial modelling works. So far we only got less than 20 000 EUR back so we will stop relying only on people’s funding and are looking for private investors and local sponsors to finance it and create it quickly. Of course… since 2022 you tell me the same …. I want facts not words… I want to see an update of the map… I don’t know but it smells bad…So many years for a map, many maps have advanced but here zero.
